DR. MEAGHAN FRANCIS

Medical Director

Dr. Francis grew up in the suburbs of Chicago before attending veterinary school. She graduated from The University of Illinois with high honors and originally started her career as an equine exclusive veterinarian. Dr. Francis has been working in small animal medicine since 2017 and loves both medicine and surgery. When Dr. Francis isn’t working, she is enjoying time at home with her husband Josh, two sons Charlie and Leo, her retriever mix Amaya, and cat named Felix. She also enjoys horseback riding and has an American Saddlebred named Nugget.

DR. JENNA ARNOLD

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Jenna Arnold grew up in Crown Point, Indiana and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bethany College in 2017 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2022. Dr. Arnolds special interests include feline medicine and oncology. In her free time, Dr. Arnold enjoys playing soccer (having played through high school and collegiately), hiking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Arnold lives with her fiancé, Clint, and their 2 cats, Ophie and Ollie.

DR. TIFFANY ABERNATHY

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Abernathy grew up in Michigan and headed into research following her graduation from Michigan State University. After working in preclinical drug development for several years, she moved to Indiana with her family where she accepted a position with Elanco Animal Health. Though she enjoyed drug development, she felt too far removed from the customer and returned to school to complete her DVM. When Dr. Abernathy is not cheering on her three children in various sports and activities, she enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers.

ANGIE

Hospital Administrator

Angie has been in the veterinary field since 1992. She started with Post pet Hospital in 2000 and then Post Pet Hospital merged with Freeland Animal Hospital in 2020. She started as a veterinary assistant and is now the Hospital Administrator.

Angie has completed the VMI (veterinary management institute series) at Purdue University.

Outside of work, Angie likes to go camping, visit the beach, read, and spend time with her family and friends. She is married and has two daughters.

HEATHER

Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

Heather is an RVT and has worked in veterinary medicine since 2009. Her favorite part of her job is interacting with clients and helping them care for their pets. She has two dogs and a cat. Outside of work she loves outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

DANIELLE

Registered Veterinary Technician

Danielle started her career in the veterinary field in 2015 when she began schooling to become a Veterinary Technician at Harrison College. She graduated in 2018 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She started at Post Pet Hospital in 2019.

She has 6 cats Maggie, Binx, Ike, Taco, Avocado, and Kitty. In her downtime she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and getting outdoors whenever she can.

CELINA

Registered Veterinary Technician

Celina joined the Freeland family in 2021. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2016, and graduated from Harrison College in 2018 where she obtained her degree as a registered vet tech.

She enjoys traveling all over the world, outdoor activities, spending time with her family, and of course animals.

She has one Great Pyrenees mix, named Leon.

MANDI

Veterinary Assistant

Mandi is a mother of 4. She has 3 pets, a Pitbull named Red, a Chinese Crested named Otis and a cat named Ned. She has been an assistant/receptionist since 2006. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.

TORI

Veterinary Assistant

Tori joined Freeland Animal Hospital at the end of August of 2021. Despite her parents telling her no, as a little girl, she’d constantly bring animals in from the street to give them a home.

Although she loves animals, she obtained a Bachelor’s in Human Biology in 2017. She is currently continuing her education by completing prerequisite courses in order to apply to veterinary school or PA school for pediatric care. Regardless of where life takes her, she wants to continue contributing her love for animals in any way possible.

Hobbies include: snuggling her dog, movies, art, hiking, kayaking, and kickboxing.

Pets: 11 year old pittie mix named Kevin

CAILYN

Veterinary Assistant

Cailyn joined the Freeland family in May of 2019. She comes from a background of grooming, pet resorts and now hopes to learn all she can in the veterinary field. She loves animals especially her 4 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, gaming and hanging out with her husband, kids, friends and family.

LAURA

Veterinary Assistant

Laura grew up in Bloomington/Normal Illinois where she found her passion in Veterinary Medicine. She worked alongside a father/daughter family owned veterinary hospital for 3.5 years and volunteered at a local animal shelter when she reconnected with high school boyfriend, Kyle. In May 2022, they got married in Noblesville and currently live in Fishers. Laura will continue her education to pursue a career in Veterinary Technology. In her spare time, she loves to bowl with her husband, read and spend time with their two dogs, Anya and Bo.

HELEN

Veterinary Assistant

Helen went to IUPUI and studied Nursing and Psychology before switching to veterinary medicine and becoming a Veterinary assistant in 2022. She has two Pitbull mixes named Mya and Nia. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, collecting plants, and spending time with friends. 

MALEA

Veterinary Assistant

Malea grew up on the east side of Indianapolis. She has 2 children, her oldest being Corbin and her youngest being Naleah. She has 1 cat named Akari. During her free time she enjoys spending time outside with her family and experiencing new things. 

COURTNEY

Veterinary Assistant

Courtney has worked in vet med since 2020. She is currently in Penn Foster to become an RVT. She has 1 child, 3 dogs a dalmatian mix, and 2 lab mixes (Jackson, Elon, Leia) and 1 cat (who is secretly her favorite) named Obi. She loves nature and traveling and being around people she loves and when she is relaxing she enjoy playing video games and watching horror movies.

WHITNEY

Veterinary Receptionist

Whitney is an Illinois native who has been in the Indianapolis area for the better part of a decade. Whitney has been working with animals since high school, but has always known that working in the veterinary field was inevitable as animals are her absolute favorite.

Whitney spends her free time cooking, camping, and exploring with her fiancé and four dogs whenever possible.

SIERRA

Veterinary Receptionist

Sierra is a customer service representative at our hospital, bringing their expertise in animal behavior and veterinary technician experience to the team. They live with their partner in downtown Indy and shares their home with three dogs, three cats and six rats, reflecting a deep love for animals In addition to their work, Sierra volunteers at local animal shelters, helping animals in need and promoting responsible pet ownership. Outside of their professional and volunteer commitments, Sierra enjoys hiking, thrifting and exploring local coffee shops, embodying a vibrant and compassionate spirit within the community.
