Dr. Freeland is originally from Nebraska and has a degree from the University of Nebraska. His Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from Iowa State University in 1988. He enjoys general practice and has a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and cardiology. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his two children, Grant and Kelly.
Dr. Premo originally joined Freeland Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant in 2011, but has since returned after obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. She attended Ball State University for her undergraduate degree in Biology. Her special interests include behavior, dermatology, and internal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Premo enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, traveling, and trying new things. She also enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend, and friends. Often her dog and best friend, Jack, is right beside her for all the fun.
Kristen joined our team in February 2013. She started working as a kennel assistant at the age of 15 in her home town of Portland, Indiana. After leaving Portland she started working in Muncie at another veterinary hospital where she was a veterinary assistant for 7 years. In July of 2011 Kristen and her husband Tyler moved to Indy, and after searching for the right place, she found Freeland! In her spare time Kristen enjoys the outdoors: camping, fishing, and walking her dogs.

Cori is a native Floridian that joined Freeland Animal Hospital in July 2008. She has been a registered veterinary technician since 2002. In the past she has worked in various fields of veterinary medicine including cancer research and shelter medicine. Outside of work, Cori enjoys gardening, biking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Yukon - Laborador Ret., Jazmine - Cat, Puma - Cat
Kara started her veterinary career in 2006 as a kennel attendant and has since worked in every position at a veterinary hospital. In 2008 she wanted to further her education and went back to school. In 2011 she became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Kara is passionate about Galgo and greyhound rescue, her family owns several retired racing greyhounds. Kara and her wife, Katy, have a son Jaycen, who competes country wide in the Shorei Kai style of martial arts. In her spare time Kara loves to be outdoors, volunteering with Scooby North America, and spending time with her family.

Sam joined the team at Freeland Animal Hospital in 2014 as veterinary receptionist. Having a love for animals from a young age, she started working in the veterinary field at the age of 16 as a volunteer. She graduated from Harrison College's Veterinary Technology program in 2011 and recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in English. When she is not working, Sam enjoys reading, writing, drawing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

J.T. joined Freeland Animal Hospital in July 2005. He resides in Muncie with his wife Michelle. In his free time, J.T. enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Megan joined our team in April 2016. Megan has been an animal lover her whole life and grew up with a variety of animals. In 2015 she graduated from Harrison College in Veterinary Technology. While in college she worked as an Animal Caretaker and a Rehabilitation Assistant in Evansville, IN. Megan and her husband DeeJay recently moved to the area to start the next chapter in their lives. In her spare time Megan enjoys camping, hiking, traveling and singing. She also enjoys spending time with her family, fellowship group from church, and her cat Mitzy.

Originally from Chicago, Mary took on the position as groomer and joined the team at Freeland Animal Hospital in 2015. After moving to Indianapolis in 2010, Mary worked in different fields before finding her passion in grooming. With her love of animals in mind, Marry graduated from the Animal Arts Academy. In her free time she enjoys going on nature walks, relaxing with her best friend Cannikas, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Since joining the team in 2010, Angela has been a devoted kennel assistant both at Freeland and its sister locations. Currently living in Indianapolis, she has two adult twins, Mary and Andrew, and a cat named Chico. Angela also enjoys collecting different cat trinkets.
Greta joined the team in April 2015. Greta has been an animal lover her whole life like the rest of the staff here at Freeland Animal Hospital. She has taken care of the animals in her neighborhood as long as she can remember. In the future she plans to pursue a career as a Veterinarian. In her free time she likes to mountain bike, hike, camp, and experience the nightlife.

Lilo came into our lives about 8 years ago as a stray. She spends her days greeting families at the front desk and getting plenty of beauty sleep. When she's not busy snoozing in the sun, she enjoys kitty treats, catnip toys, scratches behind the ears, and most of all, dinner time.

Gracie came to us about 6 years ago from a client that could no longer care for her. She was overweight and needed to lose about half her body weight! Once we got her to where she needed to be, she has been on a strict diet. She spends her time in the treatment room where it is quieter and less stressful. She is the best cuddler anybody could ask for!
